Everything here is second-hand and one-of-one, so I know buying unseen takes a bit of trust. If something is not right, here is exactly where you stand. Nothing below takes away from your legal rights.

Changing your mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell me you want to cancel, for any reason at all, or none. You then have a further 14 days to get the item back to me.

To cancel, just email me at returns@secondlifevault.co.uk with your order number. A short message is enough; you do not need to give a reason or fill in a form.

Getting your money back

  • I refund the full price you paid for the item, plus the standard outbound delivery charge.
  • Refunds are made within 14 days of the item arriving back with me, to the payment method you originally used.
  • Return postage is at your cost if you have simply changed your mind. Please get proof of postage, until it reaches me, it is your responsibility.
  • Items should come back in the condition they arrived in. If they have been used or damaged beyond simply trying them on, I may reduce the refund to reflect that.

If something is faulty or not as described

This is different, and stronger. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item is faulty or does not match how I described it:

  • Within 30 days, you can reject it for a full refund.
  • Within 6 months, you can ask for a repair, replacement or refund.
  • I pay the return postage in these cases, not you.

One honest caveat: everything I sell is pre-owned, and I grade it carefully, new with tags, very good (used, no flaws), or good (flaws, clearly photographed). Wear that I have photographed and described in the listing is not a fault. Wear I missed, or got wrong, absolutely is, tell me and I will make it right.
